To get started in electronics:
To start with projects:
If you can find them I recommend the 2 books by Forrest Mims called:
"Circuit Scrapbook Volume I" (ISBN# 9781878707482)
https://www.google.com/search?q=9781878707482&tbm=isch&ved=
And "Circuit Scrapbook Volume Il" (ISBN# 9781878707499)
https://www.google.com/search?q=9781878707499&tbm=isch&ved=
I personally like these a lot, but I don't know if the circuits are the same as the modern books (I didn't look at the recent books). And I am not sure of the quantity of circuits. All I know is that there are tons of circuits is the old model. And I can only imagine how we can twist the circuits to have a "twisted" amount of sounds, by just reconnecting them in weird sorta ways.
Not many companies would twist the way a circuit is to just get a weird sound. I mean just... don't try to have the circuit follow any rules. So what if the controls are wacked up... Now you can sample the weird sounds and there is your >sound<. Don't know how to say it clearer...
And you don't even need to make sure that it is ok. The modules can be all independent. Just make it a bunch of circuits independent of each other, and let you users have fun! It's going to be totally unreal. You think you can imagine what the sound will be, but there's no way they can truly expect what will happen when they turn the knob...
They are small circuits and most of the chips are still available (despite the age). They would be excellent in my synth (Aurora 93)...
toffs at (or exact fractions) 432Hz???
It would mean changing >ALL< frequencies to an >EXACT< fractions of 432..?
That means KEEPING the drivers with the EXACT frequencies only. AND making sure we have the crossovers at EXACTLY the right frequencies...
Something to think about...
